Such are the are the wonders of nature...perhaps one could call them fall flowers? Hmmm....what about wood-lillies?

t_brown.gif (534 bytes)hese lovely mushrooms have appeared this year in profusion.  I'm sure if I did some research I would find there is some reason why they are so numerous... but, I'd rather just enjoy them and the colors they bring to the woods.

i_brown.gif (497 bytes)was particularly impressed with the large ivory spread at the base of the Cherry Tree.  It was honestly a work of art. I kept expecting a group of geisha girls to come scurrying by, look around furtively and lean down to grab their fans before shuffling off. Even though digital cameras are limited in what they can do, I was pleased with these shots.  From above it looks like they are all one piece on the same level.  It isn't until you look at them from the side that you marvel at the layers. Just beyond cool.
