October - November 2000
This whole year has gone by way too
fast and I've neglected my journal terribly. Even so I've
documented the year in pictures which you will see as you read along
about our adventures through the year!
Recently, Lee flew in a plane for the first time - not
just any plane and I particularly liked these shots!
Let's see . . . Drew
got glasses. . .
Spencer
got milk and we all had blast for Kim's
birthday in Georgia. The Comedy Club was a awesome time and I
won a free beer!
- We went to the beach
this summer.
... had a picnic in the woods and
....the mountains for snow in the winter. Ate at a place called Dillards
and couldn't believe the amount of food they brought to the table!
Lee
made a Cactus Man named Poncho and sold him to a restaurant in
Panama City that was opening! Hey big bucks :) We miss him
tho' so I've convinced Lee to make us another one so we can see him
locally!
I love shopping on eBay
and I've found the most beautiful antiques and collectibles you just
wouldn't believe. Wait til you get to see what I got Lee for Christmas
-- it is so cool!
- Revamped
the companies website a bit and we're just doing great guns with
business -- a real banner year!
We celebrated Mom's birthday in style
this year with a surprise party at a the Mason Jar in Orlando.
In spirit,
Andrea

Being
an American - Election 2000
It is just too funny that we,
Americans are in such an uproar about this election.
It's like we're tapping our foot in front of the microwave. So used
to having what we want when we want it -- that having to wait for
anything is pure torture. So what do we do? We beat the living
daylights out of the subject. Everywhere you go you have to hear the latest news,
or latest spin or latest whatever. Everyone is in a rush to
know something NOW! So we hurry up and wait. We spend
hours of media on every imaginable "what
if."
If this was any other situation we would solve the problem effortlessly. Intelligently. Fairly. Split the damn votes and call it
a tie.
Then let the popular vote decide the tie.
It's the will of the people confirmed.
If Bush has the popular vote when all the votes are counted then
he is our President-elect. If Gore has them, then he's the
man.
Either way, calling a tie -- eliminates
the legal mumbo jumbo which will do nothing but tear this
country apart - which is funny considering we are literally
divided almost 50-50. Even so, absolutely nothing is to be
served by turning this into another embarrassing legal
circus. We can't finalize our Congress because Lieberman
holds his seat there. So I vote for no delay. I
vote for a fast revote in Pam Beach. Then count all the
votes and make the call.

If you haven't read the Harry Potter's series - then
just do it! I was a distant cousin of Harry's for Halloween,
on the muggles side.
You can buy any of these books online. If you
haven't had the pleasure of having a book delivered to you...try it and save money at
Amazon you'll love it! I do :)
