December, 1999

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah and Happy New Year to everyone! So much has happened in this year I'm sure everyone who reads this is feeling the same!  Where in the world did 1999 go?

Since my last journal, the house has been remodeled and the addition completed.  Thanks go out to Susan and Chris for putting up with my insanity while it was going on. We are finally enjoying the wonder of new space and things like a dining room and a hall closet! There's even a guest room - so please come visit :)

We had a very special July 4th when Kim and the Georgia Gang came down for an impromptu visit!

My dearest friend and techno-expert Peter finally got married to the beautiful Candy. Lee and I created a piece of art and helped decorate LeMoyne.

Halloween was the best ever.  The Northwest Kingdom hosted the rest of the Co-op.  The boys did pumpkins of course.  Lee was a great hobo clown and also the headless horseman. Charna (the horse) did not enjoy it as much as the rest of the kids!

Drew and Spencer continue to make my life complete.  As Drew moves towards the teen years his sarcasm and humor make for many a laugh fest. Spencer turned nine, and has become a full-fledged artist and like his mother loves developing his website.

I pray that you are all happy and healthy.  I say a   special prayer for someone I know to get news of a much needed transplant and for all of you to also have all of your wishes come true this year!

In spirit,

Andrea

P.S. I wrote this on December 23rd...my friend heard word on Christmas Eve, flew north and is now recovering!! What a Christmas miracle!

These are funny, touching, inspiring stories
and thoughts about life.  These are mine...I hope you will share yours.

Way Past Happy New Year to YOU!

Drew at the beach!
This was a picture I took of Drew
for a project he was doing on St. Lucia Island.
He inserted this picture into the written report!
This was completely his idea!! Isn't he a riot??

bookpile6.gif (937 bytes)   Reading?  What's that?  Life has been so hectic I've barely had a chance to read, let alone actually finish a book.  I did manage to get through The Loop, written by the author of The Horse Whisperer. This book deals with wolves instead of horses and does a pretty good job of educating the reader on what is involved in the protection of wolves throughout the nation's parks and public areas.  It also helps explain why ranchers are so adamant to rid themselves of wolves.  You can either borrow the book from me or get your own copy by clicking below and going to Amazon.com!
