Christmas 2003

Here we are again at the end of another 365 days.  Our days mostly filled with great joy and celebration. Babies born, lovers married, and new friends made. And dear friends who left us all behind. Yes, all the textures of life were present and accounted for this year of 2003.

We noticed a heightened energy to this year, a tone, a vibration which still resonates.  Lee and I were just talking about how it was a year of change, of transition . . . at least for us, this family. We hope it was a good one for you and yours.

HIGHLIGHTS
Flying into New York to meet up with Grazyna was one of the greatest adventures of my year.  I really did sleep on top of a pool table! Visiting Ellis Island was a tribute to my Grandfather Petro Bonfini, who came to America in his early twenties.  A long over due visit to West Point and my fathers grave was bittersweet .  Grazyna spontaneously stopped in Charleston for lunch on the drive home to Tallahassee.  We capped off the year at the beautiful wedding of Debra and Bob in August.

Andrew, 16, has continued to excel in all that he strives to do.  His Mu Alpha Theta activities keep him busy and involved with school and friends, Jimmy and Nick.  Lincoln High's team took 2nd in State and 3rd in the Nation.  His scores on aptitude tests are through the roof and we've determined he will need to attend FSU before he graduates High School because he will exhaust Lincoln's math classes in his Junior year. We are undoubtedly proud.

Spencer ,13, is an early member of Swift Creek's Mu Alpha Theta team, exceeding his brother's performance in Middle School competitions.  He also won his grade's Spelling Bee and was school runner up. He consistently excels in all of his classes. Soccer is still very much on his list of favorites - numerous scoring and assists make us proud.  His most favored activities, however, are hanging with his buddies Conner and Ben. . . and talking on the phone to his girlfriend Katlin.

Lee will soon go part-time at work, as our studio (formerly back porch) is nearly complete. We are working together to build a new business around his talent and skill with display art,  Art has always been a part of both our lives and we look to 2004 to follow our passion.

Quicksilver will move front and center as new projects in art, radio and television seem to present themselves on a monthly basis.  Software Solutions' web development is still very much a passion as well and looks to be very promising for the new year.

We wish you all a wonderful New Year.  365 new pages on which to write anything your heart desires.  Dream big this year and let your spirit shine so that all around you feel safe to shine theirs as well!

In spirit,
Andrea

The book I just finished is called "The Five People You Meet In Heaven" which begins as the main character is dying a tragic death trying to save a little girl.  You don't learn whether he does or not until the end of the story.  You learn about his what seems to be a rather plain and somewhat uneventful life.  Peppered with flashbacks to his birthdays you learn why and how he came to the last moment of his life.  As you read you begin to see that every life is a story unique and yet not alone in its telling.  At the end your soul learns a lesson it already knows, that all of our stories are connected.
